DxOMark, a French website known for its camera just released their class for the latest Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G. It is a resembling device to the Mate 30 Pro. However, the only difference between the two is the lithography technology used for their SoCs: 7nm on the Kirin 990 and 7nm+ EUV for Kirin 990 5G, the latter comes with a built-in 5G modem too.
According to them, the 5G version of the phone will do much much better than the previous one, because of the better camera software. Let’s start with the camera review. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G showed high levels of detail and accurate aim exposure. This smartphone also captures variant colors while shooting in the outdoors. It had an exact depth estimation and a nice dynamic range in the bokeh mode. In the zoomed-in pictures, it is able to show good details from close to medium range.
Talking about the cons. Huawei’s chief had some highlight clipping in bright light and irregular color shading in indoor situations. It did not behave well in the exposure and white balance when the LED flash was involved. All the components above have earned the Huawei phone an outcome of 134 as far as photos were concerned. The smartphone got a result of 102, in the case of videos. It also had some blinking noise temporally and irregular slight color instabilities.
However, apart from this, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G is the new head of DoXMark. Like the Mate 30, Pro still holds second place, along with the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro, so in actual it never lost its crown.
